Introduce
Nhat Tan Commune is an ancient land located on the outskirts of the Thang Long Citadel. In the past, it belonged to Quang Duc District, Phung Thien Prefecture. Over the years, it has undergone several administrative changes. In 1995, with the establishment of Tay Ho District, Nhat Tan Commune was restructured and renamed Nhat Tan Ward, under Tay Ho District, Hanoi City.
Bai Xuong Shrine is located in Bac hamlet, the only hamlet of Nhat Tan that lies outside the dyke. To reach this historical site, visitors can follow this route: Starting from the Hoan Kiem Lake area, travel through Trang Thi, Cua Nam, and Dien Bien Phu, then pass Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum to reach Thanh Nien Street. Continue along Yen Phu Road, go straight past Quang An Commune, and arrive at Nhat Tan. From the dyke, descend 20 meters, turn left, and proceed about 500 meters further to reach the site.
