Introduce
Ức Niên Pagoda has the Chinese name Ức Niên Tự, also known as Quán La Sở, is located in Quán La Sở, Xuân La Commune, Từ Liêm District, suburban Hanoi. This is one of 24 communes in Từ Liêm district (old). Before the August Revolution, this land belonged to Quán La Hamlet, Phú Gia Canton, and Xuân Tảo Commune, Xuân Tảo Canton, Hoài Đức Prefecture, Hà Đông Province. Later, it was incorporated into the "Đại lý Đặc biệt Hà Nội” (Hanoi Special Administrative Zone). In 1962, Quán La (old) was merged with Xuân Tảo Sở Hamlet of Xuân Tảo Commune to form Xuân La Commune, Từ Liêm District. In 1995, when Tây Hồ District was established, Xuân La Commune was renamed Xuân La Ward, Tây Hồ District, Hanoi.
To reach Ức Niên Pagoda, one can take the following route: From the center of Hoàn Kiếm Lake, travel via Tràng Thi, Cửa Nam, Điện Biên Phủ, through Hùng Vương, Thụy Khuê and Lạc Long Quân street. At Xuân La Intersection, continue straight for about 0.5 km, then turn left for about 20 meters to reach the Ức Niên Pagoda relic.
